Let's Talk About 1.9

I am a pvper. You may not know, but yes, I am a pvper. Thats why this update matters so much to me. It's the combat update. So apparently weapons will have "cooldowns". I understand that Minecraft is trying to enhance gameplay, but I'd rather not edit all my strategies for an update. Gladiators recently came out on mineplex, and I'm not looking forward for cooldowns on SSM. Plus, I enjoy my little combos.

Shields seem like a nice idea, and so does duel wielding, so I have no problems there. Don't forget the potion arrows. I can't wait to see what Mineplex does with those. As for EDawg, the kingdom roleplays just got a little bit cooler. 

The one problem I have with minecraft right now is that the building options are kinda short. I mean, does anyone else wanna see vases and trash cans in minecraft? No? Just me? Vases would be a nice add-on to temples, and other builds. I'm also looking forward to the day when you can sit in chairs. Yeah.

Multiplayer is Down?

So according to several Mineplex forum posts and some failed attempts to connect to EDawg, I found out that Minecraft multiplayer is down. The problem is that so many people spam the forums when Mineplex goes down. If it goes down, then it is usually nothing. Go read a book. If Mineplex is having technical difficulties, then they will announce it. If mineplex is getting ddossed, then someone else will probably have had posted about it.

So please, if you are a member of Mineplex, don't add to the thousands of posts complaining about Mineplex's downtime. Mineplex is not a machine. They are people who have lives, and sometimes staff don't have time to fix everything.

Edawg & Where it is Headed

Lately EDawg has been going downhill... I recently left the server for three months and when I get back it has changed a lot. First off, all the good players have left the server, and now chat is filled with global role-players and bad conversation topics. People also make extremely horrible builds and talk about anime.

The worst part is the roleplays. You used to see a wide variety back then, including lab, warrior cats, and wilderness roleplays. Now these days all you see are either HS/College, Camping, and Kingdom roleplays. Since my skin is a fox, and I hate changing it, I rarely ever get accepted into role-plays. And when I do get accepted, I usually never get noticed because my character is not a Mary-Sue of some sort.

The way people build role-plays just makes me wanna barf. I went to a "HS" role-play which only had 5 buildings. Starbucks, dorms, a giant box with lockers (it had no roof), a pool, and a football field. That is literally all people roleplay these days. Either someone buys their crush the most expensive starbucks items, someone drowns in the pool, every single boy works out at the field, or people are at their dorms doing literally nothing. Nobody even bothers to go to school! Remember kids, you can't spell "High School" without "School".

I bothered to sort the popularity of certain "personalities" of some roles from role-plays. Out of the 50 total personalities, 17 people put "nice" on their role, 10 put "smart" on their role, 8 put "shy", 8 put "hot/cute", 5 put "strong/athletic", and only 2 put "Rebel" or "Cool". According to Thesaurus.com, there are 45 different synonyms for 'nice'. Really edawg? I expected more.
